Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Sun Valley, Idaho, for the first time in my life. What a beautiful spot! As we were flying in with the mountains surrounding us like a halo, the sun poked through as if to say, "Welcome to SUN Valley!"

Greeted warmly by our hosts, Rich and Rhonda, we were off to pick up some lunch and drop off our bags at their home before hitting the slopes for the afternoon. Driving through Hailey and then Ketchum, we arrived at their lovely lodge. You really can't call it a cabin...it's truly a majestic lodge with large rooms and tall ceilings, with incredible mountain views from most of the rooms. Want to take a peak?

Isn't their lodge home just perfect for the mountain setting? It is so spacious and comfortable. I never did get any photos of the master suite, but take my word that it is simply gorgeous!

Almost all of our group of eight spent the afternoon skiing long, groomed runs...enjoying pristine views of Sun Valley from the mountain top.

Grabbing a beverage at the main ski lodge, I marveled at the beautifully appointed rooms...even the women's restroom was lovely!

Over the four days, we had so much fun cooking together, eating out one night, hosting a party to celebrate Heidi's 50th birthday once again,

snow shoeing near Galena Lodge,

and doing a little shopping. Sun Valley has some fabulous homes, and has drawn the likes of Bruce Willis, Brooke Shields, and Richard Dreyfuss...just to name a few! Sitting around the crackling wood fire at night, telling stories and laughing together, was a wonderful way to end each day.

We all had such a wonderful time! So thankful to have friends that share their lovely vacation home so generously. Thank you, Rich and Rhonda...our hosts extraordinaire!
