A Little Pumpkin Baby Shower...
/Just had to squeeze in one more fall post before we jump into the Christmas season! I know you have all been seeing Christmas decor in stores for months but really, December isn't even here yet. So, for those of you like me who still have bowls of mini pumpkins and fall leaves around your home, this post is for you!
Several weeks ago I attended a baby shower for the daughter of a friend of mine. The shower was held in a beautiful home on Lake Sammamish. In honor of the "little pumpkin" who is soon to arrive, the hostess fully embraced the pumpkin theme, with the help of her friends! She also graciously allowed us to tour her home, just completed a little over a year ago. As you know, I love to tour homes! Here we go...
The family room...
The beverage station in the family room, just around the corner from the kitchen...
The kitchen island with an array of fall treats...
The beautiful kitchen with gorgeous cabinetry...
The custom tile backsplash for the range...
A fun little touch on the staircase...
A sofa table display with lovely velvet pumpkins...
The powder room...
A guest room in lovely gold tones...
The guest bath...
The master bedroom...
The master bath...
Just had to show you the detail of the master bath floor...
A darling guest bedroom...
A unique light fixture over the guest bath vanity...
Another guest room in grey...
Looking down at the formal living room...
The living room with tall ceilings...
The entry hutch and beautiful, classic, black and white marble tile floor...
The formal dining room...
The lovely mother to be and her cousin in the family room...
Some of us ate our delicious lunch outside here under heat lamps...such a lovely view!
I hope you enjoyed the tour of this lovely home. We had a delightful time celebrating the coming arrival of baby Tosti! There is just something so wonderful about gathering a group of women together, even with those you are meeting for the first time, to celebrate new life. Motherhood brings us together, no matter the size of your home or financial status, and gives us a common bond.
Well, Thanksgiving is upon us! I'm thankful for you, dear friends and readers of my blog! In the words of Charles Swindoll, "Thanksgiving is a time of quiet reflection upon the past and an annual reminder that God has, again, been ever so faithful."
Happy Thanksgiving! Warmly, Gracia
